Mike Smith, Owner, MSPT, ATC
Physical Therapist
Mike Smith was born and raised in Waterville, Maine, attended Colby College and graduated in 1990 with a BA in physics. He attended Simmons College in Boston receiving his Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1993. He spent the decade of the 90’s in the Boston area and moved back to Maine in 2000. He has attended or participated in over 50 continuing education courses including manual therapy seminars through St. Augustine University in Florida. He emphasizes a well-rounded approach to recovery including manual techniques supplemented with the proper set of exercise. Mike and Debbie established Village PT in 2012 and reside in Gorham with their son, Aidan.
Chris Eidson, DPT
Physical Therapist
Chris Eidson is the newest member to join the Village Physical Therapy team. He was born and raised in San Diego, CA, before joining the U.S. Army and being stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He went on to receive a B.S. in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England. During that time, he worked closely with veterans’ groups, including the Wounded Warrior Project and Travis Mills Foundation.
He lives in Gorham with his partner Brittany and their two dogs. Outside of the clinic, Chris enjoys being outdoors or playing sports. He is often on the mats training in Jiu Jitsu or on the court playing Pickleball. This diverse background and passion for an active lifestyle form the foundation of Chris’s approach to physical therapy, offering clients a comprehensive and personalized journey toward optimal health and well-being.
